01 · What we believe

Accountants deserve better tools.

Half your billable time goes to chasing clients for documents. Reminding them. Organizing what comes back. Re-asking when they don't reply. None of that is the work. None of that is what your clients pay you for.

The work is the work.
Reconciliation, advisory, sign-off. Everything else is overhead the software should handle.
Calm is the default.
Your workspace shows what needs your call, and only what needs your call. Nothing else surfaces.
Client relations and accounting are different jobs.
We chase. You review. The two should never crowd each other on the same screen.
Your tools shouldn't fight you.
QuickBooks. Gmail or Outlook. Drive or OneDrive. Lacerte. Keep them. We sit on top and orchestrate the work between them.

If that sounds like the firm you want to run, get on the list.

02 · How it works

Three steps. The AI runs the chase. Your firm runs the review.

01
Connect your stack.
Connect Gmail or Outlook, plug in QuickBooks, and your client roster comes with it. Five minutes. Send-only mailbox access. Read-only QBO. We don't move anything we don't need to.
02
Your AI runs the chase.
Chase emails send through your real mailbox — Gmail or Outlook, your real address. Reminders go out on cadence. Replies thread back into your inbox. Escalations surface in your workspace.
03
You review and sign off.
When a close is ready, it lands in your queue packaged: docs in, blockers surfaced, notes ready. You make the call. The AI handles the rest of the cycle without you.

03 · Honest answers

What you're probably wondering.

What integrations exist on day one?+
QuickBooks Online (live OAuth — pulls your client roster automatically), Gmail and Outlook (send-only OAuth), and signed-link uploads for clients to drop documents directly. CSV roster import is supported as a fallback if you don't use QBO. That's V1. Plaid, Square, Stripe, Lacerte, and others are explicitly roadmap, not in the box yet — we'd rather ship one integration that's rock-solid than five that are flaky.
Does the AI actually email my clients itself?+
Yes — through your reviewer's connected Gmail or Outlook account, send-only. You OAuth into the mailbox during onboarding (no DNS work, no DKIM/SPF setup), and chase emails go out from that real address. Replies land in your inbox normally — we never read them; we just notify you when one comes in. You can review and edit any draft before send for your first cycle, then auto-send once you trust it.
What if a client doesn't respond?+
The AI escalates on a cadence you set: email day 0, email day 3, SMS day 6, escalation flag day 9. Anything still outstanding by your close deadline lands on your reviewer's blocker list — never lost, never silently dropped.
Can I edit what the AI sends?+
Yes. Every template is editable per-firm; every individual draft can be reviewed in the workspace before send. Most firms turn on auto-send within two cycles.
Who can see my client data?+
Your firm's data is isolated per-tenant. We never share data across firms, and we never read your mailbox — Gmail/Outlook OAuth is send-only. Encrypted at rest and in transit. SOC 2 Type I in progress; HIPAA out-of-scope (we don't process PHI).
I'm a solo CPA. Will this be too heavy for me?+
No. CloseDesk has a solo mode that collapses the reviewer/operator distinction — you see one queue, one workspace, no team-management overhead. The product was designed with solo practitioners in mind from day one. If you're running a firm of one and chasing 20+ clients every month, you're the target user.
What will it cost when slots open?+
Under $200/month, flat — unlimited clients, unlimited seats. We'll lock in your price when your slot opens and never raise it after. No per-client charges, no setup fees, no per-seat surprises. Annual is two months free if you prefer that.
What if I want to cancel?+
Self-serve, from your billing page, takes about ten seconds. We export your full data archive (clients, threads, documents, audit trail) on the way out. No data hostage-taking.

Live for your next close.

Five minutes to set up. Your AI takes it from there.
